Fisher Space Pen Co. is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector/Technician to inspect raw materials, components, work in process and finished products. This position helps ensure that products meet company drawings, specifications, tolerances, customer requirements and quality standards.
The ideal candidate is comfortable inspecting small precision components, using measurement equipment, documenting results accurately and communicating quality concerns promptly. This position requires sound judgment, strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently while supporting production as part of a team.
Qualifications for Quality Control Inspector/Technician
- Previous manufacturing, inspection or quality-control experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Ability to analyze information and follow written procedures.
- Strong math skills, including decimals, fractions, ratios and proportions.
- Ability to read measurements, dimensions and tolerances.
- Ability to inspect small parts with or without corrective lenses.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk through production areas and lift up to XX pounds during the workday.
Duties
- Perform incoming, in-process and final inspections.
- Record and maintain inspection and test results.
- Inspect small components and finished products against drawings, specifications, samples and established quality standards.
- Use calipers, micrometers, gauges and other inspection equipment accurately.
- Notify appropriate supervisors promptly when quality concerns are identified.
- Assist production personnel in understanding defects and preventing recurrence.
- Identify, segregate and document nonconforming material.
- Maintain an organized inspection area and properly cared-for measuring equipment.
- Must be able to read measuring equipment
- Perform additional quality-related duties as assigned.
Position Details:
· Full-time position
· Monday through Thursday
· 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
· Four 10-hour shifts per week
· Starting pay: $16.00–$19.00 per hour, depending on experience
· 30-day introductory period
· Position available immediately
