Quality Control Inspector – Weekend Shift Jobs in Dover, NH at Q LLC
Purpose:
To provide a job description for the Quality Control Technician position.
Reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor and the Quality Control Manager.
Job Description – General Technician
Ability to make independent decisions with regard to food safety, GMP’s, customer requirements, and NBF Requirements as they relate to Quality.
Ability to utilize various inspection techniques and tools.
Ability to approve or reject raw materials, labeling, and finished product based upon conformance to customer or NBF specification.
Quarantine, report, and record product non-conformances
Prepare, maintain, and understand quality documentation and inspection records
Ability to understand the Roadrunner software package and to coordinate inspection activities based on the information contained therein.
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook email)
Ability to read and understand customer drawings, specifications, PDF’s, etc.
Read and understand the appropriate SOP’s relating to the QC position
Ability to work collaboratively with the team as well as being a self-starter
Other duties as assigned by management.
Job Description – Receiving Inspection Technician
In addition to the job requirements listed in the General Technician description, the candidate must be able to complete the following:
Perform incoming inspection of components and raw materials.
Ensure that packaging components are safe for intended use.
Perform various tests and inspection of components, dietary supplements, packaging materials and labels to ensure specifications are met.
Approve or reject raw materials, labeling and finished product based upon conformance to specification.
Preparation of specimens for outgoing lab analysis or customer requirements.
Prepare and maintain inspection documentation.
Any and all duties as outlined on the NBF RIT training checklist.
Job Description – Blending Technician
In addition to the job requirements listed in the General Technician description, the candidate must be able to complete the following:
Perform organoleptic and visual inspection of finished product (bulk totes).
Verification of blending line ingredients.
Preparation of specimens for outgoing lab analysis.
Verification of product to customer specification.
Prepare and maintain inspection documentation.
Perform various in-process inspections to ensure compliance with customer and NBF specifications.
Be able to perform and evaluate the results of the Swab Test (SQA-084) as appropriate
Any and all other duties as outlined on the NBF BT training checklist.
Job Description – Packaging Line Technician
In addition to the job requirements listed in the General Technician description, the candidate must be able to complete the following:
Prepare and maintain inspection documentation.
Perform various in-process packaging line inspections to ensure compliance with customer and NBF specifications (label verification, weight check, metal detector check, seal check, lot code check, expiration date check, etc.).
Collecting customer and NBF product samples
Accurate completion of appropriate quality inspection forms.
Perform and evaluate the results of the Swab Test (SQA-084) as appropriate
Any and all other duties as outlined on the NBF PLT training checklist.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, two year degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the food industry; or a four year degree and a minimum of 1 years’ experience in the food industry.

Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
