Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive dimensional and visual inspections of welded components and trailers using precision measuring instruments such as height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and vision inspection systems.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints and manufacturing documents to verify compliance with design specifications and quality standards in production.
- Perform quality audits throughout the manufacturing process to identify deviations from ISO standards, GMP, HACCP, FDA regulations, and other regulatory/legal compliance standards.
- Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles to assess the accuracy of machined parts and assemblies.
- Collect data on inspection results, document non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions to improve quality systems.
- Operate measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and vision systems to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Participate in calibration of measuring instruments and maintain detailed records for quality management purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within manufacturing environments, preferably in welding or trailer production industries.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA regulations, and related quality management systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Hands-on experience with measurement tools such as coordinate measuring machines (CMM), height gauges, vision inspection systems, and precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of quality standards in production processes including dimensional measurements, GDT (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and manufacturing documentation interpretation.
- Excellent analysis skills for identifying root causes of defects and implementing effective solutions.
- Ability to perform quality audits, data collection, and report writing efficiently while maintaining high attention to detail.

Pay: $28.00 – $36.00 per hour
