We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Lab Manager to lead our laboratory operations and ensure the highest standards of quality in our manufacturing processes. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of quality testing, compliance, and continuous improvement within the lab environment. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily laboratory activities, including sample testing, data analysis, and reporting to ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP, and FDA regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality systems, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), Lean management principles, and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance process efficiency and product quality.
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to verify adherence to quality standards in production, regulatory requirements, and internal protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including manufacturing, R&D, regulatory affairs, and supply chain—to address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
- Train and mentor laboratory staff on quality control procedures, GxP (Good Practice) standards, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and analysis skills to foster continuous learning and development.
- Maintain detailed documentation of test results, audit findings, non-conformance reports, and compliance records for regulatory review.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing data trends and applying Six Sigma manufacturing techniques to reduce variability and enhance product consistency.
Requirements
- Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on quality control or quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory/legal compliance standards such as FDA regulations, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP/GxP guidelines, and industry-specific quality standards.
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting quality audits, inspections, and analysis skills within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with Lean management principles, Six Sigma manufacturing practices, and quality systems implementation.
- Excellent team leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficient in using GD&T for measurement analysis and understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration across departments while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
The salary range for this role is $90,000 – $125,000 annually. Compensation is commensurate with level of knowledge, education, skills, and experience applicable to the position.
