Nuclear Quality Assurance Engineer – remote
About the role:
The Quality Assurance Nuclear Engineer is responsible for specific activities related to the establishment, effective implementation, and maintenance of the Westinghouse Quality Management System, including Project Quality Plans and implementing procedures. Additional responsibilities may include oversight of specific project activities, including design control, control of external providers, and construction activities.
You will report to the Quality Manager and work remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
Help implement the Westinghouse Quality Management System, project quality plans and project procedures for AP1000 projects.
Assure project team is adequately trained on project requirements and implementing procedures
Maintain compliance with the Westinghouse Quality Management System for project execution.
Assure a mature and healthy Nuclear Safety Culture and Safety Conscious Work Environment.
Create safe, error free performance through active use and promotion of Human Performance tools and organizational learning.
Communicate and implement quality assurance best practices through continuous improvement.
Represent and support the AP1000 program in external (customer or regulatory) quality audits and inspections.
Monitor quality metrics, conduct data analysis, and present reports related to Quality performance.
Qualifications:
BS degree or equivalent (preferably engineering / technical)
5 or more years of nuclear quality assurance experience
ISO 9001 and 19443Working knowledge of U.S. commercial nuclear power regulations, e.g., 10CFR50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, ASME Section III B&PV Code, ANSI, 10CFR21, and comparable international regulations
