Summary/Objective
The Quality Control Laboratory Technician is responsible for supporting Quality Control laboratory operation through performing basic laboratory tasks, sample analysis, and assisting Analysts as required.
Essential Functions
- Ensures Quality Control laboratory is clean and organized
- Maintains stock of clean glassware for all Quality Control requirements
- Monitors and re-stocks supplies as required
- Stores and files samples in the cold room according to established conventions
- Maintains equipment calibration
- Performs material testing
- Supports sensory evaluation process
- Manages expired inventory process
- Understands and follows standard operating procedures
- Performs data entry
Supervisory responsibilities
- Assist any laboratory interns through training and guiding daily tasks
Other duties
- Trains new lab technicians and intern as required
- Accomplishes special projects and laboratory tasks as assigned
Travel requirements
- Occasional travel between facilities
Required education and experience
Bachelors or Associates Degree in Chemistry or other Natural Science
Preferred education and experience
- Bachelors Degree in Chemistry or other Natural Science
- Experience working in a laboratory
Additional eligibility requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
Work authorization/security clearance requirements
