PharOS is seeking for a Quality Control Laboratory Supervisor within the QC department as follows:
Key Responsibilities
- Provides support, direction and coaching to respective team members comprising QC Analysts and QC Lab Assistants; supports departmental employee recruitment, selection, training, development, safety, promotion and retention levels to ensure proper and effective staffing.
- Executes training according to the training program, ensuring the proper training of respective team members whilst ensuring compliance with cGMP, company procedures, and EHS regulations.
- Maintains the training files of team members, ensuring visibility to the teams for the appropriate work scheduling to be performed.
- Provides assistance to the QC Manager in terms of preparation of team quality metrics, capacity plans and any other necessary correspondence that may be required.
- Ensures that all scheduling requirements are met, in conjunction with other departments where required.
- Mentors and develops staff technically and professionally. Supports efforts across multiple areas to accomplish goals, providing guidance and influencing the organization.
- Provides technical leadership and coordinate the activities of work allocated to the team of analysts; specifically, testing of finished products and stability batches.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science or related field from an accredited college or university
- A minimum of four (4) to six (6) years of progressive experience; preferably in the pharmaceutical industry, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English, both orally and in writing.
- Implementing goals, objectives and practices for effective, efficient and cost-effective management of allocated resources. Direct and coordinate the work of subordinate staff.
- Providing leadership and coaching to direct department employees and delegating work assignments and meet department deadlines.
- Analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, and implementing recommendations for resolution of problems.
- PC literacy
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, team spirit.
