Quality Control
Lead
1. Develop, implement, and maintain
quality control
policies, procedures, and standards for all capex projects, encompassing mechanical, piping, boilermaking, electromechanical, civil, steel structures, and instrumentation and control systems.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to define precise project scopes and quality requirements.
3. Participate in the tender process, clearly communicating
quality control
requirements to potential contractors for each specialized area.
4. Review and approve contractor quality plans and methodologies.
5. Supervise contractor progress and validate compliance with quality standards and project specifications, particularly in:
Mechanical systems design, fabrication, and installation
Piping and boilermaking fabrication and installation
Electromechanical systems certification, installation, and testing
Civil and steel structures design and erection
Instrumentation and control systems installation and testing
6. Develop and maintain a system for tracking and reporting quality-related issues and their resolutions across all project areas.
7. Oversee the final acceptance and handover process, ensuring all quality requirements are met before project closure, including comprehensive testing and certification of all systems.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in
quality control
, with at least 5 years in a
leadership
role in industrial or infrastructure projects.
3. Proven experience in managing
quality control
for large-scale projects involving mechanical, piping, electrical, civil, and instrumentation systems.
4. Strong knowledge of UAE, international, industry-specific quality standards.
5. Familiarity with UAE construction and environmental regulations.
6. Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Black Belt, or relevant discipline-specific certifications (e.g., AWS, ASME, IEC) are highly desirable.
