JOB DESCRIPTION: Quality Control Officer – IT Security Documentation
About the project
We are looking for an experienced IT security risk management specialist to fulfill a contract for a
client within European structures. The project involves providing a managed service for preparing
IT Security Plans (ITSP) for departments and executive agencies.
The contract is implemented under a framework agreement and is expected to last up to 4 years
(tentative start: June 2026).
Position description
The Quality Control Officer will be the last line of defense for quality before each ITSP document
is delivered to the client. This role is critical for maintaining required KPIs. They will operate
independently from the team preparing the documents, ensuring an objective quality assessment
of all delivered material.
Scope of responsibilities
QC Level 1 – Structural Control
● Verification of document structural compliance with the ITSP service model.
● Checking the completeness of all required document sections.
● Verification of internal document consistency (no contradictions, logical continuity).
● Checking formatting compliance with DIGIT.S1 templates.
● Verification of requirements traceability.
QC Level 2 – Substantive Control
● Analysis of the correctness of IT system asset identification.
● Verification of system modeling quality (completeness, accuracy).
● Assessment of threat modeling adequacy (realism, completeness).
● Verification of the correctness of risk assessment and treatment.
● Checking the adequacy of security measures implementation.
Quality management and continuous improvement
● Implementing and running Peer Review and Coaching Feedback Loops.
● Managing the rework process – tracking, prioritizing, and verifying corrections.
● Cooperation with Quality Assurance on the DIGIT.S1 side.
● Documenting recurring errors and implementing corrective actions.
● Participation in bi-weekly knowledge-sharing sessions with DIGIT.S1.
Reporting
● Providing quality data for the Monthly Activity Progress Report.
● Reporting quality trends to the SPOC and project management.
