Quality Control Learnership – Your future position
As a member of the Quality Team in Tulisa Park, South Africa, you will be responsible for preparing flavor applications in different bases, meeting the needs of creative and development teams.
In this exciting role you will:
Flavor Application: Prepare fragrance applications in different bases, ensuring quality, precision, and accuracy. Act as a point of contact in the lab for specific customer/projects. Handle sample requests and order fragrance oils. Perform physical-chemical measurements. Assist in updating technical documentation. Conduct preparation of internal bases. Perform colour matching and recommend dyes as per client requests.
Record and Inventory: Operate and maintain lab equipment. Record and communicate results accurately. Manage customer inventories and project samples. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized lab environment following EH&S policies. Supervise and mentor junior technicians and trainees. Perform stability testing and evaluation.
Technical Support: Provide technical support to Creation and Development teams, Sales teams, and external customers. Solve technical problems related to fragrance application. Study stability and physical characteristics of formulations. Prepare technical talks for internal and external audiences. Network with internal and external contacts to exchange knowledge.
Your profile includes:
Degree or higher education in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or similar; or studying towards such qualifications.
Diploma in cosmetic science (advantageous).
Understanding of laboratory techniques in perfumery.
Knowledge of Microsoft applications.
Preference will be given to Employment Equity candidates.
