We have partnered with Global Player in the Fluid Sealing Industry. We are seeking a Quality Manager to assist in the planning, development, implementation, communication and maintenance of a company’s quality management systems, polices, documentation, data, and customer- specific requirements. Reporting to Plant Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct problem solving activities to resolve internal and external non conformances with permanent irreversible corrective action. This will be the major responsibility for this role
  • Develop, implement and oversee the quality assurance activities, including finished good inspections, audits, testing of raw materials, in-process materials, quality control plans, procedures, and standards. Part inspection, including layout, in process, final, and receiving using all types of mechanical inspection

Quality Management System (QMS):

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards including customer requirements or industry standards
  • Ensure that the QMS is effectively integrated into all operational processes.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate waste and reduce variability.

Customer Focus:

  • Act as a point of contact for quality-related customer concerns and complaints.
  • Develop corrective and preventive actions to address customer feedback and improve customer satisfaction.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Stay updated with changes in regulations and standards affecting the manufacturing industry.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation, including records of inspections, audits, and test results.
  • Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.

Supplier Quality Management:

  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials.
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to verify compliance with quality standards.

Other Requirements

  • Problem Solving Experience in Manufacturing Environment required
  • Experience with various measurement systems including CMM and performance of gage R&R studies
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks and obtain results working within strict time frames
  • Proficient in MS Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly and component drawings and engineering specifications
