Quality Control Manager
The Quality Control (QC) Manager is responsible for overseeing quality assurance processes across production, inventory, and customer satisfaction. This role works closely with overseas factories and agents, internal teams, warehouses, and key customers to identify quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle. Reporting to the VP of Product, this position plays a critical role in protecting Butler’s product integrity and brand reputation in the marketplace. This is a full-time hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days in the office/week.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, update, and analyze monthly and quarterly Quality Control (QC) reports, identifying trends, and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with factories and agents to enforce quality standards and proactively resolve issues before production, and to address damage/quality concerns with existing production items.
- Partner with the internal Content team to identify and resolve product content-related issues, ensuring accurate product information and imagery.
- Maintain and update QC databases, tracking quality issues, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct quality inspections of inventory at Butler warehouses and other warehouse locations as needed to investigate and address quality concerns.
- Communicate with key customers regarding quality issues, corrective actions, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives to maintain strong customer relationships.
- Monitor quality performance metrics and recommend process improvements to reduce defects, returns, and customer complaints.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards, specifications, and established quality control procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying root causes of quality issues and implementing preventive measures.
- Assist with any other QC or Product management related projects as needed.

- Strong strategic thinking and structured communication skills.
- Proficient with Office 365 applications including intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
- Exceptional attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
- Ability to recognize and diagnose trends and patterns in product damages.
- Proven ability to drive measurable impact, including damage/defect reduction and process improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of quality assurance management, specifically in furniture
- Deep understanding of furniture construction, woodworking techniques, and materials.
- ERP system experience
