Magnus Medical, Inc. (“Magnus”) is an innovative company that has developed and commercialized a SaaS-based offering to provide a FDA-cleared, personalized and targeted treatment of patients with Treatment Resistant Depression. Magnus is also developing similar solutions for other mental health conditions including but not limited to bipolar disorder, postpartum depression, and anxiety.
As a Test Engineer, you will play a key role in product releases. This includes designing and running tests, as well as creating documentation for a release in a regulated environment. The right candidate will collaborate closely with developers to test new features in our laboratory, as well as quality and regulatory on generating necessary documentation. This position is based in Burlingame, CA.
Roles and Responsibilities
Testing of software product
Work in conjunction with developers to develop tests to verify software functionality against requirements and specifications
Work in conjunction with Commercial and Clinical teams on testing build and configuration processes
Develop and perform functional, performance, security, regression, exploratory, and usability testing of software products
Run tests in the laboratory environment and document results
Identify, reproduce, and report software defects and issues
Automation of tests
Work in conjunction with quality assurance and regulatory to create or update medical device software documentation in alignment with IEC 62304
Work onsite at Magnus Medical headquarters in Burlingame, CA
This role depends on physical testing and interaction with the hardware, which cannot be feasibly relocated to a remote working location
Minimum 4 days / week in the office
Required skills and qualifications
Degree in computer science, engineering, or similar technical certifications.
2+ years of work experience in medical device verification and validation
Understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies and technologies.
Proficiency in at least one programming language used for test automation, such as C# or Python
Experience with version control systems, such as Git
Strong verbal and written English communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with various departments
You have excellent problem-solving skills, an analytical mindset, and strong communication skills

Salary Range: $80,000 – $110,000 Annually
