A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Quality Engineer focusing on solving problems, performing in process inspections and final inspections, there are plenty of opportunities to make an impact and learn along the way. You will be performing product final inspections to ensure they meet all customer requirements and tag them for shipping. Be the voice of quality and support quality, manufacturing and other teams to improve the performance and make improvements to the product and manufacturing processes by helping implement preventive and corrective measures for problem areas identified!
How You’ll Make an Impact
Work with the Quality team to ensure product quality, including documentation, quality tests, and defining test criteria.
Inspect JFR, SFR, and traction regulators throughout production, from incoming material to pre-shipping, ensuring compliance with quality requirements.
Lead/assist in root-cause investigations (e.g., 8D, A3) and develop corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), along with continuous improvement ideas using SEI’s SIM/3i process.
Establish work instructions for production processes, conduct tests, and repair test equipment and failures, implementing corrective actions.
Support all Production and Quality team activities, including testing, oil shipments, and reporting issues using SFM, SAP, and other tools.
What You Bring
Associate or bachelor’s degree required; technical degree preferred, along with 3+ years of experience.
Quality department experience preferred and may substitute for a degree or equivalent experience.
Ability to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to various audiences.
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with basic knowledge of GD&T and experience using measuring devices.
