SUMMARY:
Develops, implements, and coordinates a quality system designed to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, and to promote continuous improvement activities throughout the organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and implements company and/or quality department policies, procedures, and goals as part of the management team.
Implements and maintains a quality system that complies with all customer requirements.
Acts as liaison with the customers or suppliers with regard to product quality concerns.
Facilitates or leads cross-functional teams for problem solving, advanced product quality planning and continuous improvement activities.
Establishes the quality department’s fiscal budget and staffing requirements.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, supervision, and evaluation of the quality department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
