About Wolf Valley Buildings: We are a Texas-certified manufacturer of industrialized housing and modular buildings. Our mission is to deliver structures built to the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Manager to lead our compliance assurance program.
Position Overview: The QC Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that all buildings are constructed in compliance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable Texas state building codes. This position oversees all in-process and final inspections, directs compliance documentation, and manages quality assurance procedures throughout production.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Administer and maintain the Quality Assurance Program as outlined in the QA Manual.
✅ Review and approve construction drawings, specifications, and any production change orders.
✅ Oversee in-process inspections and final inspections of all units.
✅ Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, deviations, and corrective actions.
✅ Ensure compliance with the Texas Industrialized Housing and Buildings Program requirements.
✅ Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies and Design Review Agencies (DRA).
✅ Monitor materials control, including acceptance and rejection processes.
✅ Oversee application and documentation of certification decals and data plates.
✅ Train and supervise quality control inspectors and support compliance training for production staff.
✅ Participate in regular quality program reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
✔ Minimum 5 years of experience in modular or residential building construction, including:
At least 1 year of quality assurance functions
At least 1 year of customer service experience
✔ Strong knowledge of applicable building codes, especially the International Residential Code (IRC), National Electrical Code (NEC), and Texas IHB rules.
✔ Proven ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
✔ Excellent recordkeeping, documentation, and organizational skills.
✔ Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
✔ Leadership and management capabilities.
Preferred: • Previous experience as a Quality Assurance Manager in an industrialized housing plant. • Familiarity with RESCheck energy compliance and blower door testing processes. • Certification or training in quality management systems.
