Summary
We are seeking a Tester to join our dynamic team at MathCraft Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining our reputation for delivering reliable and effective software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive manual and automated test plans for COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) web applications.
Perform a range of testing types including functional, regression, stress, performance, automated, and data testing.
Use browser Developer Tools to inspect and debug front-end and network-related issues.
Implement testing frameworks from scratch and maintain automated test suites.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and support teams to ensure complete test coverage and issue resolution.
Engage directly with customers to investigate, reproduce, and document reported issues.
Create and maintain Knowledge Base Articles to document troubleshooting steps, workarounds, and usage guides for specific features and capabilities.
Log, manage, and track defects and enhancements in Jira, and manage source control with Bitbucket and Git.
Leverage tools like Katalon Studio/Recorder for automated testing and test case management.
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years of hands-on software testing experience.
Experience working in small teams and dynamic, startup-like environments.
Deep understanding of testing methodologies: stress, performance, regression, automated, data validation, and exploratory testing.
Strong knowledge of COTS software systems and web application architectures.
Proficiency with browser Developer Tools for isolating and diagnosing issues.
Experience with Jira, Bitbucket, Git, and Katalon Studio/Recorder.
Demonstrated ability to design and implement test automation frameworks from scratch—candidates must be able to provide real examples or walkthroughs of previous work.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise Knowledge Base content.
Proven customer-facing experience—ability to handle user-reported issues professionally and empathetically.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating testing into automated deployment processes.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
Knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend testing.
