Quality Control Mechanical Technician Jobs in Pleasant View, TN at Harvey’s ATV Parts
Our ideal candidate should be proficient at inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing side by side/SXS/UTV’s. Your core duties will include running digital and analog diagnostic tests, performing routine preventive maintenance (like oil changes & tire rotations), replacing worn/broken parts, and communicating repair options/costs to management. This position includes riding, driving, ATV’s daily. If you are not comfortable with this do not apply.
-Hands-On Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of proven experience working in an auto repair shop, dealership, or fleet environment. UTV/SXS experience preferred.
-Diagnostic Proficiency: The ability to use computerized diagnostic equipment to identify electrical, mechanical, and engine faults.
-Tool Familiarity: Comprehensive knowledge of standard hand tools, power tools, and heavy-duty shop machinery.
-Math & Computer Literacy: Basic math skills for calculating measurements and ratios, and computer skills for updating vehicle maintenance records.
-Attention to Detail: Strict adherence to safety protocols and manufacturer repair guidelines to ensure vehicles are safe to drive.
-Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot unseen issues and develop practical action plans to resolve them.
-Heavy Lifting: Ability to frequently lift and maneuver equipment, parts, and tires weighing up to 50–75 pounds.
-Physical Stamina: Capacity to stand, kneel, bend, and work in awkward or cramped positions for extended periods.
-Dexterity: Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling small components and complex parts.
In all automotive repair including UTV’s, the “3 C’s” are the foundational framework used to write accurate work orders and track the diagnostic process: Concern (the symptom), Cause (the root of the problem), and Correction (the validated fix).
All candidates will undergo a hands on evaluation screening during the interview process. In addition all candidates will be drug tested upon selection and at random throughout employment.
Diagnostic skills and attention to detail are our top priority. If you are not consistent in these two areas we will terminate employment.

This position starts at $30 hourly pay. Pay increases will occur quickly if candidate meets or exceeds mechanical knowledge expectations. We work hard, you have to come ready to work hard with us!
Two weeks paid vacation annually after 90 days employment. Paid lunch, Christmas bonus, 401K matching and weekly pay schedule.
Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
