Quality Control – Nights Jobs in Grand Prairie, TX at Poly-America
Serves as the Commander’s liaison for maintenance and safety. Manage and assign inspection schedules. Research maintenance and operational standards for all unit equipment and functions. Inspect equipment for compliance with maintenance standards. Identifies safety hazards and risks. Ensures all
required safety equipment is present and operational. Records findings, takes corrective measures and follows up on long term efforts.
Maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products. Conducts visual and measurement tests with the ability to communicate required adjustments to mechanics. Documents inspection the results by completing reports and logbooks. Ensure compliance with Army regulations. Tracks and implements Safety of Flight, Army Safety Action Messages,
and other maintenance related documents issued by the Army. Maintains the Aviation Weight and Balance software, performs aircraft weighing, and updates the aircraft weight and balance forms IAW Army standards.
Standard Functions:
Ability to read and interpret complicated drawings, specifications, statements of work and standards to determine quality status.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments, follow engineering orders and instructions, and interpret specifications according to inspection practices.
Assists Quality team members or management with failure and nonconforming material data recording and reporting.
Be able to determine acceptance, rejection of materials presented for Inspection.
Independently perform comprehensive inspection of new, production, derivative, modified aircraft, ground vehicles, raw material or completed components, for condition, conformity and documentation at shipping, receiving, acquisition, in process or at final inspection.
Performs receiving inspections on all incoming 2410 parts.
Complete non-conformity and corrective action reports as required. Good organization skills and Knowledge with ACN software to accurately document and maintain associated paperwork and inspection results in a consistent and timely fashion.
Familiarity with various specifications applicable to Defense products and material with reference to workmanship including checking Material Test Reports, Certificate of Conformance.
May provide guidance and work leadership to less experienced staff members.
Identify and communicate continuous improvement opportunities for the
quality program.
Other duties as directed by the assigned Supervision.
REQUIREMENTS:
Mandatory – 5 years of turbine powered rotary wing (RW) experience. 2 years as a technical inspector.
Must have completed military aviation maintenance training OR aviation maintenance technical school curriculum AND possess an FAA issued A&P license with demonstrated rotorcraft inspection experience.
