Overview :
The QA/QC Assistant works under the direction of the Director of Quality Assurance and Quality Team overall. They will aid in the needs of the quality team. They are responsible for assisting in ensuring the accurate, smooth, and timely flow of information, documentation, material samples, and in-process work between the Compounding, QC Lab, Production and Traffic Units, third party verification labs, and customers. He/she is also responsible for assisting in overviewing plant sanitation needs to cGMP daily. This position aids in Quality and Production units to be informed, prepared, and working efficiently to complete the weekly production schedule and cGMP documentation.
Principle Responsibilities (others may be assigned):
Follow written, approved, procedures exactly to maintain cGMP standards at all times.
Follow safety regulations at all times.
Conduct weekly Eye Wash Station reviews.
Assists with coordination of the documentation, assembly, final completion, and record keeping of every Batch Record for accuracy and timeliness. Batch Record reconcilement, maintenance, and retention.
Assists with overseeing and verifying transfer of materials to and from Packaging Department with Warehouse Personnel.
Assists with overseeing GDP of documentation.
Assists in overseeing the “Release Process for Acidified Food Products”.
Additional Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each principle responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education – High school graduate preferred, but not required if proficiency in communication, mathematics, work habits, and attitude is demonstrated during the probationary period.
Experience – 1 – 5 years of hands-on experience in a liquid and semi-solid, full scale, manufacturing environment. Well organized and disciplined individual able to work efficiently and effectively across functional areas, bringing all of them together.
Computer Skills – Basic computer skills. Specific training will be provided as necessary.
