GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsibility to function as a Quality Supervisor: to follow all TS 16949 Instructions. Responsible for maintaining a strong, open, and honest relationship with our customers. Support production to find the root cause and corrective action so that the non-conformity does not re-surface. To follow the procedures and system to assure that the product or service that Exo-s provides is to design intent and meets both external and internal requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations and coordinate the activities required to meet quality standards. Work with the Production staff thought the organization to ensure that the Quality system is functioning properly and that requirement for new or for engineering change is properly understood and followed. Monitor and advise on the performance of the quality management system and produce data and report on performance, measuring against set indicators. Work with staff throughout the organization to ensure the quality system is functioning properly. Where appropriate, advise on changes and their implementation and provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL ELEMNETS OF THE JOB
Leading the quality charge, instilling a sense of pride with quality, developing a positive quality culture.
Training, empowering, and implementing standard operating procedures
Ensuring ISO and IATF procedures are followed and met
Auditing and validating processes and procedures.
Implementing processes changes, corrective actions, and improvements
Leading others to follow your lead.
Utilize SPC and other statistical tools to improve areas within the QA function.
Directly supervise all quality department personnel.
Communicate to all level of the organization openly.
Assist in Identifying relevant quality-related training needs and deliver training.
Ensure all containments, re-work and deviations are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary.
Lead continuous improvement activities within team.
Help coordinate the training of production personnel in quality issues and policies.
Implement containment for internal or external non-conforming material.
Implement best practices throughout the production process.
Conduct regular meetings with the inspection team to maintain consistency and promote teamwork.
Ensuring the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
Assist with GP-12 / Safe launch at the start of new programs or engineering changes (if needed)
EDUCATION / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
Degree or equivalent experience in Quality Assurance.
Team player / good attitude
A passion for manufacturing quality processes and procedures
Knowledge of quality tools such as APQP, SPC, PFMEA, CP, root cause analysis
Accomplishments with implementing Corrective Actions
Experience with IATF, ISO, auditing, inspecting, writing SOPs is prefered
LEAN/Six Sigma Greenbelt preferred but not required
Ability to travel to customer locations
Strong written, verbal and interpersoanl communication skills
PC Skills to include MS word, excel, power point and ability to create spreadsheets.
Ability to work independantly as well as part of a team.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
