Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Responsibilities:
– Perform laboratory tests and procedures following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines
– Collect and process samples, including blood, urine, and other body fluids
– Conduct venipuncture and blood sampling as required
– Prepare specimens for analysis and maintain accurate records of all tests performed
– Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and maintenance
– Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results
– Assist in the development and validation of new laboratory techniques or procedures
– Analyze data using various software applications and prepare reports for review by medical professionals
– Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines to protect patient information
Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
– Previous experience working in a laboratory setting preferred
– Proficient in aseptic technique, flow cytometry, and other laboratory techniques
– Knowledge of PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) is highly desirable
– Strong data analysis skills with attention to detail
– Familiarity with hospital laboratory operations is a plus
