Goya Foods, Inc., leader in the food industry, based in Secaucus, New Jersey is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our Manufacturing team.
Summary: The Quality Control Technician will ensure the quality of raw materials, in process products and finished goods. Perform required quality tests for raw materials and finished products while recording accurate data in a timely manner. Maintain, organize, and schedule raw material samples for testing and conduct appropriate evaluations. Ensures employees are following all Food Safety and worker safety practices.
Responsible for monitoring and product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process. Daily duties include the inspection of raw materials, monitoring production processes and the evaluation of finished products. Ensure that testing equipment is accurately calibrated and functioning properly. Monitor product weight, codes, labeling, and perform quality control checks and record data. Responsible for performing sanitation verification and allergen testing on equipment and other areas required.
The preferred candidate will possess a high school diploma plus three years of related manufacturing quality control experience. Knowledge of quality control testing procedures and Bilingual (English/ Spanish) is a plus.
Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, skill set, experience, qualifications, education, and other job-related reasons.
Good Faith Estimate of Salary Range: $50,000 – $55,000. per year.
