Position Overview:

The Quality Manager is responsible for leading quality assurance & product integrity efforts for the organization, ultimately ensuring all product meets brand standards for design, fit, fabric performance, and construction.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain oversight of quality standards, procedures, and documentation to ensure consistent product quality from concept to delivery.
Manages oversight of final inspections and ensures adherence to quality standards and compliance with AQL (Acceptable Quality Limits).
Collaborate with strategic sourcing partners, technical design, sourcing, raw materials, and merchandising teams to address quality issues early in the development process.
Lead root cause analyses and corrective actions on quality defects and returns; communicate findings to internal teams and vendors.
Manage third-party inspection agencies and quality audit schedules for domestic and overseas factories.
Evaluate and approve fabrics and trims, ensuring consistency in performance, colorfastness, shrinkage, and durability.
Review and analyze returns and customer feedback to identify trends and drive improvements.
Train internal teams and vendor partners on quality expectations and inspection protocols.
Ensure compliance with applicable safety and regulatory standards for women’s apparel.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Manufacturing, Textile Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of quality management experience in the apparel industry, with a strong focus on women’s fashion.
In-depth knowledge of garment construction, textile performance, and fit evaluation.
Experience with factory audits, AQL standards, and working with overseas manufacturing partners.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; PLM or ERP systems knowledge is a plus.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Preferred Experience:

Previous experience working with a women’s specialty apparel or related retail brand.
Familiarity with sustainability and compliance initiatives in apparel manufacturing.

The compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements. The range of pay budgeted for this role is: $85,000 – 110,000 annualized, with additional incentive compensation and benefits.
