Job Description: Job Summary
The Quality Control Inspector will perform visual, mechanical, dimensional, functional, or electrical inspection of raw materials, parts, assemblies, or final product in receiving or product assembly process.
This position works under general supervision. The preferred candidate will have an electrical, mechanical and electro-mechanical background.
Roles & Responsibilities
This position has responsibility for:
Managing and executing calibration programs, including monitoring, calibration and repairing various instruments and equipment.
Assisting with the coordination of onsite calibration events using third party Laboratories.
Performing visual, mechanical, dimensional, functional, or electrical inspection of raw materials, parts, assemblies or final product in receiving inspection or production assembly process.
Inspecting parts to engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, manufacturer specifications and industry standards. The inspections will be performed to engineering requirements specified per ANSI Y14.5 – Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) or equivalent standard.
Must have the ability to read / interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs).
Minimum and Preferred Qualifications (Experience and Skills)
5 years of experience at test and inspection in a manufacturing or production environment.
3 years of experience managing calibration programs.
Experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers, and test equipment.
Experience managing inventory of tools, spare parts, and calibration equipment
Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) and knowledge of applicable industry standards like IPC-A-610 or equivalent is highly desired.
Should read and understand engineering drawings
Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be able to develop a good rapport with other departmental members.

Requires resolve to follow through until a satisfactory Quality resolution has been made.
Must be able to make decisions.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour
