What you’ll be doing:
Ensure food safety standards and quality control guidelines are effectively implemented and followed across Distribution Centre (DC) operations.
Perform on-site inspections of inbound, storage, and outbound processes to ensure compliance with operational guidelines and standards.
Monitor compliance with food safety policies, procedures, regulations, and standards (HACCP/FSSC 22000, and other relevant certifications)
Conduct routine inspections and audits to verify adherence to food handling processes, storage conditions, and quality control procedures.
Collaborate with regulatory authorities to manage product registrations and approvals in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Organize and deliver food safety trainings and awareness programs for food handlers as per the training plan.
Perform regular product sampling and testing to confirm compliance with safety and quality standards.
Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues, implementing corrective actions to address any discrepancies in product quality or processes.
Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, corrective actions, and quality control reports to ensure full traceability and regulatory compliance.
Ensure all quality control documentation is continuously updated and fully aligned with relevant regulatory requirements and certifications.
Stay informed on regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure compliance and ongoing application of best practices in food quality and safety.
Support the preparation and facilitation of audits conducted by external regulatory bodies and certification organizations.
Provide continuous feedback and actionable recommendations to enhance food quality, safety, and operational efficiency within the Distribution Centre.
Foster strong collaboration with warehouse, logistics, and central planning teams to ensure seamless integration of quality control processes within overall distribution operations.
