Garland Food is committed to producing high-quality food products through strict quality standards and continuous improvement. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Control Technician to join our team on the second shift.
Position Overview:
As a Quality Control Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring that every product meets our high standards of quality and safety. You will conduct inspections throughout the production process, maintain compliance with regulatory and internal specifications, and help drive quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed inspection reports.
Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations as well as company standards and specifications.
Calibrate and maintain quality control equipment.
Conduct inspections across all production stages to ensure product consistency and quality.
Prepare and maintain test data for review, identifying deviations from established standards.
Evaluate data, draft reports, and implement corrective measures as needed.
Proactively identify opportunities for quality control improvements and implement new methods.
Communicate quality or compliance concerns promptly to the appropriate teams.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
At least 2 years of experience in inspection and/or production.
Strong understanding of test equipment and quality control processes.
Proficiency in mathematical concepts, including fractions, ratios, and proportions.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to analyze and interpret information effectively.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Spanish language skills preferred.
