Quality Control Systems Technician — Surfsnax (Miami, FL)
Surfsnax is a fast-growing Miami-based food manufacturer making salmon snack sticks, sold through Amazon, Instacart, TikTok Shop, Costco, and grocery stores nationwide. We’re hiring an entry-level, bilingual (English/Spanish) Quality Control Systems Technician to help run our food safety program. We provide HACCP training and certification.
What you’ll do:
- Verify production forms and records for accuracy and completeness
- Conduct internal audits to ensure production meets our HACCP program guidelines
- Run daily food safety checks: sanitation, temperature logs, allergen controls, GMP walk-throughs
- Conduct HACCP training for employees
- Maintain batch and traceability records
- Check incoming ingredients against supplier documentation (COAs, letters of guarantee)
- Help prepare for internal and retailer audits
- Support company growth with logistics and other computer-based tasks when necessary
What we’re looking for:
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and reliable — someone who takes ownership without needing to be micromanaged
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Comfortable on your feet in a production environment; able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Basic computer skills (Excel/Sheets, email)
Schedule: Full-time, on-site at our Miami production facility
Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
