Position Summary: The Senior QC Coordinator position is responsible for quality related tasks focused on the Opening, Finishing and Hot Melt Areas. This position follows up on Non-Conformances and assists in root cause analysis of different issues and defects. Oversees and performs process audits and maintain QMS related records and alerts.
Position responsibilities:
Performs, oversees, and directs Finishing and Hot Melt process audits and auditors
Maintains and communicates the weekly audit schedule
Communicates audit issues to the Finishing Team including corrective actions
Conducts Finishing and Hot Melt auditor training
Follow-up on open audit issues
Reports out audit results
Performs and oversees Finishing department Process Audits
Responsible for following up Finishing In-Process Non-Conformances
Validates corrective and preventive actions from Finishing NCRs through audits and data analysis
Provides support to Finishing, Hot Melt, and Final Inspection associates with quality issues
Follows First Production lots and troubled patterns through the Finishing and Hot Melt process
Generate and report out on final inspection defect maps
Generates and analyzes quality reports from the BMS System and Power BI to drive quality awareness and improvement
Assists in root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action
Assists in maintaining quality boards and other posted documents
Assists Quality Supervisor with workflow through re-inspection by transferring goods, reviewing daily off quality reports to identify Q2/Q9 goods for potential upgrades, and reviewing work at re-inspection as needed
Notifies Manager of any unsafe or hazardous situations
Follows all safety procedures and policies and advises supervisor of any unsafe conditions
Any other duties requested by Quality Systems Manager or Director of Global Quality
Essential Skills and Experience:
Associate should possess general knowledge of Finishing and Hot Melt process and defects
Knowledge of final inspection highly recommended
Demonstrates competency with Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills
Strong team player

Ability to work independently and stay on task
Education requirements:
HSD / GED
