Position: Quality Control Technician (1078546)
What You’ll Be Doing:
Testing:
Perform a range of tests on ingredients, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Conduct special projects and analyses as needed to support production and quality initiatives.
Analysis & Reporting:
Accurately record and analyze test data, maintaining detailed records of results.
Identify and report any out-of-specification results, taking initiative to investigate potential causes.
Prepare reports summarizing findings and communicate results effectively to production and supervisory personnel.
Problem-Solving &
Collaboration:
Work closely with production teams to troubleshoot quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Audit operator quality performance and provide guidance on best practices.
Equipment & Lab Maintenance:
Operate, maintain, and perform minor repairs on laboratory equipment.
Manage inventory of lab supplies and chemicals, ensuring timely replenishment.
Food Safety & Quality:
Actively participate in and support the plant’s GMP and Food Safety programs.
Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized laboratory work area.
What You Need to Succeed:
Education:
Degree is highly preferred, will look at recent graduates.
Experience:
1-5 years of experience in a food laboratory environment preferred, but we are open to considering recent graduates with relevant lab coursework or experience.
Skills:
Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and equipment.
Familiarity with food production processes and quality control principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk and/or sit for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts.
