About The Team
The MicroPharm Quality Control team supports the manufacturing of antivenom antibody products by performing a wide range of analyses across an array of different disciplines (chemical, biological, microbiological). The group comprises multiple laboratories, including both QC Analytical and QC Microbiology, and supports the ongoing use of the two cleanroom manufacturing facilities.

Monday to Wednesday 09:00 to 17:00
About the Role
The role as a QC Technician within the QC group is to be responsible for performing a range of routine analyses, assist in the day-to-day running of the laboratories, and support effective completion of projects and manufacturing batches.
Briefly, the role comprises:
• Performing a range of routine analyses using analytical and non-sterile microbiological techniques.
• Carry out the environmental monitoring program for the cleanrooms – to help ensure good contamination control.
• Complete routine calibration activities for test equipment.
• Making buffer solutions in support of QC testing.
• Maintain stocks of reagents and materials.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.
Qualifications and Experience Required
• Previous laboratory experience is preferred but a background in science in an educational setting will be considered.
• Minimum A-levels or equivalent qualifications in biology, chemistry, or other related science.
• Further education level qualifications in related disciplines are desirable but not mandatory.
• Good attention to detail and an ability to follow written instructions.
• Previous working experience within a GMP or other regulated environment is beneficial.
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic person.
• Desire and willingness to learn from more experienced members of the team.
• Well organized and capable of working on multiple activities concurrently.
