JOB TITLE:
Quality Control Technician
SALARY: $42,962.00 – $53,702.00 DOE
HOURS:
3:30 pm – Midnight, must be flexible to meet business needs
JOB PURPOSE
:
Capably manage day-to-day quality control issues and maintain standards for quality in the processing of dry mix products. Serve as a member of the quality assurance team and perform various tests and audits on raw materials and finished goods, as well as on the processing and packaging lines.
Essential Duties:
Tests blended product samples for performance to NWF standards
Determines blended product acceptability based on experience with product
Accurately records observations and test results
Audit formula, bills of materials and responds to information results
Understands and follows hold downgrade rework procedures and management of rework
Exercises basic trouble shooting, problem solving and decision making skills
Audits and interprets clean down sheets, HACCP, CP sheets, set up pallets and other documentation supporting process and packaging control
Metal detector / magnet checks
Placing product on HOLD
Conducts Environmental swabbing / Microbiological and Allergen samples
Will help production with duties
Cross train to cover production supervisor
Other duties and projects as assigned
Flexibility in scheduling to meet business needs / over time required
Cover 2nd shift for vacation/sick/and as needed

Minimum Qualifications:
Applied Science or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred; yet not required
Minimum 2 years food experience in a quality role in a food manufacturing operation preferred
Ability to Flex in scheduling to meet business needs / over time required
Ability to pass employment, Comprehension and Math tests;
Attention to detail, Good Communication skills
