Hours: 6:30 am- 3:30 pm
46 Week Position
Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred with emphasis on food service/hospitality management and/or nutrition/dietetics
Accredited or eligible for Serve-Safe Certificate
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant food service experience in high-volume commercial or non-commercial food service industry, management experience preferred
Knowledge of methods, materials, equipment, and appliances used in high volume food service operation
Demonstration of high-quality job performance; possess leadership and management skills
Effective planning and organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact appropriately with staff, students, and parents
Experience with multi-site personnel management and coordination
Valid driver license
Knowledge of technology applications such as AS400, Meal Magic, Kronos, Titan, and Frontline
Demonstrate proficiency in recordkeeping (i.e., health inspection, production records, and recipe management)
Description:
Complete all new staff interviews and hiring
Produce and maintain work schedules for food service staff, adjust hours for staff based on volume and building schedules
Ensure staff are serving all food items according to menu specifications defined by USDA meal patterns
Complete on-site review for each kitchen by deadline to comply with MDE regulations
Monitor production records daily for all sites
Meet with the Food Services Director and Food Services Coordinator, when necessary, to resolve larger staff issues
Discipline and document issues addressed with staff
Ensure that food is produced safely and is of high quality according to policies, procedures, and health department requirements
Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring and enforcing compliance with high standards of cleanliness, health, safety, and sanitation
Select trainers for each school year and assist with trainer meetings
Create and/or assist trainers in developing training material
Provide POS training and support for cashiers, as needed
Create schedule for training new staff
Monitor and approve sub and elementary employees in Kronos
Responsible for collecting all paid leave exempt forms and extra timesheets
Complete and update Kronos sheets to send to secondary kitchens
Document all call-offs, fills replacements, and keep a daily record of absences
Keep track of attendance for monthly staff bonus
Monitor monthly inventory and ensures accuracy
Submit inventory report to accounting monthly
Input work orders
Examines injury reports to ensure they are detailed and accurate and then sends the report to human resources
