Position: Quality Control Technician
Location: Watson, LA
Department: QA/QC
Reports To: Quality Control Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time
The Quality Control Technician will answer directly to the Quality Control Manager. Duties shall include, but not limited to:
- Sample and test fresh concrete in accordance with ASTM, ACI, and NPCA standards
- Perform pe-pour inspections on precast products daily during operations
- Mold inspections
- Rebar cage assembly inspections
- Complete inspection paperwork and document any nonconformances
- Communicate any nonconformances found to the respective supervisor
- Witness concrete placements to verify proper placing, finishing, and curing techniques are followed
- Perform post-pour inspections on precast products daily
- Verify cast products adequately conform to provided shop drawings and project specifications/tolerances
- Properly document and communicate any nonconformances to the respective supervisor and Quality Control Manager
Requirements:
- Currently holds or able to attain ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Level I or accepted equivalent
- LADOTD PCC Plant Certification
- Able to clearly read and understand project drawings and product shop drawings
- Fully capable of reading tape measures
- Fluent with Feet/Inches and fractions of inches (1/16, 1/8, ¼, ½, ¾, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and communication skills
Bilingual preferred but not required
