* Description*
We seek a Quality Technician to work directly with our customer sites and installation teams to ensure quality standards are adhered to in all aspects of installations while acting as a catalyst for continuous improvement in our products and systems. This role will interface with install partners, equipment suppliers, sub-tiers, engineering, program team, and sourcing to drive high levels of quality and field reliability in critical sub-systems and components.
This position requires both a collaborative nature and the ability to influence across organizational lanes.
The role includes training on necessary tasks and safety procedures, reviewing documentation and drawings, and shadowing experienced team members.
Sample Day-to-Day
Activities:
First 10% of the day:
Attend meetings to update on site progress, quality control phases, and roadblocks.
Majority of the day:
On-site validation at the distribution center, including:
Validate install quality for transfer decks, lift cells, adapter cells.
Perform checks before power is applied, including static checks and spacing verification.
Inspect cable dressings and mechanical component security.
Ensure structures are properly bolted down.
If issues are found:
Responsible for coordinating with the appropriate teams to address and resolve them within a specified timeframe.
Final 10% of the day:
Documentation and preparation for the next day.

Additional Qualifications:
Accredited (2) or (3) year Technical or Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent, plus 10 years of relevant experience, or a total of 16 years if no accreditation.
At least 8 years of quality assurance/control experience.
Experience in heavy industrial construction projects and multi-discipline work within the EPC industry.
Familiarity with material handling equipment.
Experience collaborating with engineering, quality, development engineering, and manufacturing teams.
Strong project management, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
Analytical problem-solving skills and adaptability.
Proven ability to influence and drive corrective actions with global suppliers.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of working with global stakeholders.
Additional Information:
Level: Entry
Pay Range: $30.00 – $35.00/hr
