Job Opportunity: Product Development Quality Technician

Key Responsibilities
Product Testing. Under the direction of manager, conduct various product tests, including dishwashing, staining, dropping, heating, adhesion, etc.
Documentation. Document (visual and written) all testing processes and results generally in a PowerPoint document.
System Proficiency. Become proficient with NetSuite and other systems to be able to manage and update data.
Quality Inspections. Perform quality inspections of items to ensure correct color, logo/decal placement, and item specifications.
Quality Checks. Assist with random quality checks for new and existing products and maintain accurate records.
Factory Transfers. Assist with factory transfer projects.
Customer Samples. Assist the Product Development team in inspecting and sending samples/prototypes to customers.
Product Verification. Verify dimensions, capacities, and textures of products and update information in the system, as necessary.
Tracking Updates. Update quality issue and new product trackers regularly.
Printing Collaboration. Collaborate with the printing department to ensure quality control. (This process will be worked through with Marketing and Warehouse manager)
Teamwork & Independence. Ability to work as part of a team and independently to accomplish assigned tasks.
Task Flexibility. Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager to ensure quality and product compliance.
Cross-Functional Communication. Maintain open communication with cross-functional teams, supply chain, warehouse management, sales, and marketing, to ensure alignment on quality goals.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
Ability to perceive and differentiate colors accurately.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong interest in product fit, finish, and quality
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Comfortable in warehouse environments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable using computers.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English for effective cross-functional collaboration.
Additional Skills:
Forklift operator certification is a plus but not required.
Comfortable working with precision measuring tools such as calipers and measuring scales.
Able to take product photography to clearly documents the story being told and the issue being defined.
Spoken proficiency in Spanish would be a plus but not required.
