Quality Control Technician Jobs in San Marcos, Texas, USA at ION Biosciences
ION Biosciences is offering a full-time position to join our Quality Control team. This role will require strong organizational skills and attention to detail. The applicant will be responsible for preparing, inspecting, and validating ION’s products to ensure they meet quality standards. The applicant will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of scientists to communicate any quality issues that arise and make recommendations for process improvements.
Pay for this position is up to $18/hr.
Responsibilities
• Assemble products for distribution by pipetting, labeling, sealing, and packaging components
• Collect and evaluate data to be drafted in reports detailing chemical properties
• Troubleshoot quality issues and communicate recommendations to management
• Learn how to operate and calibrate quality equipment (e.g. balance, pH meter, osmometer, spectrophotometers)
• Perform inspections and solution-based validations on reagents and final products
• Inventory management and manufacture production labels
• Interdepartmental communication of quality issues and product status
• Identify areas for quality improvements and implementation strategies
Qualifications
• Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret data and graphs
• Mid-Level computer skills in operational software (e.g. Google Drive, Microsoft Office, and Slack)
• Willingness to learn and develop strong communication skills
• Demonstrate time management skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and urgencies
• Able to operate independently under general supervision with minimal human error
• Team player who develops interpersonal skills and can work with others
• Experience in aseptic techniques and pipetting are a plus
Requirements
• Daily duties are performed in an office and laboratory setting
• Minimum of 40 hours per week with promotion pathways defined
• May require lifting or moving items weighing up to 25 lbs.
