Position Overview: The Lead Inspector will have a key role in all quality assurance and inspection activities within the organization. This role is crucial in ensuring that our products meet industry standards and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong background in quality assurance, electronics manufacturing &/or inspection, and process discipline.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead the quality inspection process for incoming and outgoing materials per internal standards and customer specifications.
Use appropriate instruments, tools, and equipment including microscopes, cameras, and calipers to test products for functionality and compliance and identify possible suspect, counterfeit or used product.
Document and report inspection results, maintaining records of inspection and test data.
Handle and Package components in accordance with ESD and MSL standards.
Use chemicals/solvents to determine if product has been physically altered.
Lead and mentor the inspection team, fostering a culture of quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Assist in the development and refinement of quality control methods and procedures.
Act as a point of contact for internal and external quality-related inquiries, ensuring timely resolution.
Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices, ensuring the organization remains compliant.
Maintain safety standards & OSHA compliance to ensure a safe and productive workplace within the inspection department.
Assist with the calibration and maintenance of lab and inspection equipment.

Experience & Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in quality assurance within the electronics manufacturing or component distribution industries.
High school diploma required; higher education preferred.
Previous experience inspecting or handling ESD sensitive electronic devices.
Experience with inspection methodologies and tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA, XRF).
Working knowledge of AS6081 standard (or similar) is a plus.
IDEA / ICE-3000 certification desirable.
Familiar with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9120, Six Sigma).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
