Description
The Quality Coordinator assists the Quality Manager with planning and coordinating the Quality Control Program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain all quality standards to ensure compliance between ISO and Moore Industries, Inc. quality system on a daily basis
- Report any quality related issues to the Quality Manager for immediate problem resolution
- Assist with all corrective actions regarding quality issues
- Assist with developing processes for counter measures
- Responsible for lab and gage set up, files, and maintenance
- Responsible for additional product layouts requested by customers for products in production, using gages, fixtures, 3D measurement device and software and/or other measuring equipment
- Responsible for new hire quality auditor sheet and gage training
- Responsible for sample and part retention storage and direction on cleanliness
- Responsible for dock audits
- Responsible for in-coming receiving inspection
- Responsible to gather data and paperwork associated with quality functions, including but not limited to:
- Quality Auditor Sheets
- Safe Launch Sheets
- Production Start of Run/End of Run Record
- Start of Shift/Job Change Checklist
- Assist in developing and creating boundary samples
- Responsible for the non-conforming area, product disposition, scrap cart disposition, and record keeping
- Assist with daily scheduling of certification and safe launch product flow
- Coordinate and direct all on-site and off-site sort projects for non-conforming product
- Assist with maintaining all gage calibrations and calibration records
- Report any safety issues immediately
- Other duties and secondary functions as assigned by the Quality Manager

Physical
- Stand, walk, sit, work at a desk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, or crouch for duration of the shift
- Must have full range of body movements including use of hands to handle or feel objects
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Repetitively grab, flex, and twist hands, shoulders, and upper extremities
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Due to time-sensitive nature of manufacturing, some overtime including 12-hour shifts and weekend work may be required
- Must wear personal protective equipment as required
Preferred Education and Experience
- Quality experience required
- Plastics Injection Molding experience required
- Management experience required
- Driver License required – Travel 10% (no more than 2 hours away from Moore Industries, Inc.)
