The Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting the quality of our finished countertops before being installed.

Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Receive finished material, and perform verification that it has been produced as requested.
Inspect all pieces to ensure that quality standards have been met.
Minimize the appearance of chips, seams, and slight imperfections and re-finish edges
Clean all pieces and record that checks have been made prior to staging it for a-frame loading.
Communicate with the Manager throughout all work shifts
Assist other departments within Production as needed.
Communicate any problems or changes concerning equipment, products or safety with management
Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
Scan barcodes before starting and after completing of processes
Pre-inspect materials before processing and double check material
Pull measurements for accuracy
Perform other duties as assigned by management

Work Environment

This position will work in an indoor production environment around large machinery, overhead cranes, and power tools. There may be areas with wet floors. The production environment involves a consistently high level of noise.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; push; pull; talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Individuals must have the ability to lift a minimum of 75lbs on a regular basis.

Required Education and Experience

Strong attention to detail to check the final product for imperfections and ensure correct dimensions for proper fit
Ability to use and read a tape measure to the 16th of an inch with accuracy and precision
Ability to exercise good judgement with final patterns and seams
Proficient computer skills

Preferred Education and Experience

Experience using hand power tools
High school diploma
Ability to read CAD and blueprints
