Job Description
Local manufacturing firm is in need of a Quality Engineer to provide quality engineering support for product development or sustained manufacturing within an assembly/fabrication environment.
May consider a Quality Technician looking to take the next step in their career.
Duties
and Responsibilities will include
Provide quality project management support as needed
Ensure that materials, products, and processes meet specifications and/or standards
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures
Work with customers to develop quality plans for projects
Communicate and work with customers regarding RMA’s, FAI’s, PPAPs, etc.
Review and process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) for projects and runtime improvements
Review supplier PPAP and capability study information
Other
Duties
may include:
Visual and dimensional inspection as needed
Inspection and testing duties to ensure that products meet customer specifications and quality requirements
Product and process auditing
Data collection and reporting
Troubleshoot and resolve issues to improve plant and supplier quality
Identify and implement appropriate preventative and corrective actions, including root cause analysis and effectiveness review
Ideal Background and
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline
Experience in a metal fabrication environment/background
Experience in a quality-related function is required
