Ensuring Chart’s Success…
The Quality Engineer reports to the Quality Manager and assists the quality department team in supporting the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) policy.
What Will You Do?
Maintain the nonconformance and CAPA program.
Coordinate employee training through Chart’s Master Control program to develop and improve proficiency.
Perform equipment validations for production readiness.
Ensure calibration and maintenance of inspection, measuring, and test equipment (IMTE).
Design, install, and evaluate quality process sampling systems and procedures.
Assist in developing quality procedures and recommend revisions of specifications.
Interface with engineering, production, customers, and suppliers on quality issues.
Develop inspection methods to analyze product quality.
Recommend changes to improve product quality.
Collaborate with teams to enhance products.
Ensure products meet company and industry quality standards.
Brainstorm solutions for identified problems.
Formulate strategic plans to increase productivity.
Document inspection results and findings.
Implement systems to ensure conformity and accuracy in production.
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
Manufacturing plant environment with required PPE.
Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Physical movements including stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Your Experience Should Be…
5 years of relevant experience.
Experience in welding industry, AWS and/or ASME certifications preferred.
Professional certification through ASQ such as CQE or CQA.
Experience in auditing and ISO management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
BSc in Engineering, Physical Science, or relevant technical field.
