Key Responsibilities:
CLIA & CAP Compliance:
Assess the current state of the lab’s compliance with CLIA and CAP standards.
Develop and execute a roadmap to achieve CLIA certification and maintain CAP accreditation.
Lead inspections and audits, including preparation and responses to findings.
Quality Management System (QMS):
Upload and organize documents in MediaLab and ensure the system is maintained and updated regularly.
Develop and document SOPs, policies, and procedures aligned with CLIA and CAP requirements.
Train staff on QMS processes and ensure adherence to established protocols.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to enhance laboratory operations and quality practices.
Provide ongoing recommendations for maintaining a culture of continuous improvement and compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Laboratory Sciences). Advanced degree preferred.
Active Clinical Laboratory Scientist license is preferred but not required.
Minimum 10 years of experience in QA/QC roles within clinical laboratories, with a focus on CLIA and CAP compliance.
Strong expertise in quality management systems, non-conformance resolution, and CAPA implementation.
Proven track record of guiding labs through CLIA certification and CAP inspections.
In-depth knowledge of laboratory regulations, including CLIA, CAP, NYS and applicable federal and state requirements.
Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $100.00 – $150.00 per hour
