Position: Registered Nurse
Location: Cleveland, TX
Employment Type: Part-Time
Role Overview: As a Registered Nurse at our company, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to patients. You will educate patients and their families on comfort measures and provide direct nursing care with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional who is compassionate, cool-tempered, and able to follow health and safety guidelines consistently.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Patient Care:
Provide hands-on care in hospice settings, ensuring the comfort and dignity of patients.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, making necessary adjustments to care plans.
Collaboration and Care Planning:
Work with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
Educate patients and their families on end-of-life care options and comfort measures.
Medication and Treatment Administration:
Accurately adjust and administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
Facility Hygiene and Safety:
Ensure facilities are clean and safe by decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, and preparing beds.
Supervision and Training:
Oversee and provide training for Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) and nursing assistants.
Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Patient and Family Support:
Create a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families, providing emotional support during difficult times.
Travel Requirements:
Visit patients in various locations, including their homes, personal care homes, or nursing facilities.
Skills and Qualifications:
Valid nursing license.
Proven experience in patient care, particularly in hospice or palliative care settings.
Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation.
Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to provide emotional support to patients and families during difficult times.
Commitment to following health and safety guidelines at all times.
Team player with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to drive to different locations for patient visits.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with medical records management.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations.
