Quality Department

Position Objective

To monitor and improve the quality of operational processes and outputs by identifying shortfalls, developing corrective measures, and implementing quality control systems.

Reports To:

Director of Quality

Essential Functions

Monitor and analyze quality performance.

Develop quality assurance standards and controls by monitoring OEM specifications.

Implement quality control systems by establishing product specifications and quality attributes.

Ensure that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety practices and procedures following established rules and regulations.

Conduct hazard analysis and identify critical control points and preventive measures.

Inspect and test materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.

Identify and resolve production problems; determine system improvements and implement change.

Develop and monitor corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.

Contribute technical information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews.

Collaborate with Operations team to develop and implement controls and improvements.

Draft and update internal quality control documents such as the Aircraft Propeller Service, LLC, Quality Manual, and the Domestic Repair Station Manual as needed.

Work to achieve and support quality improvement in all products and services.

Update job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in quality management, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in quality, industrial or mechanical engineering

Experience: 2 years as quality engineer, quality assurance or a similar role

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Excellent project management skills.

Ability to prioritize, multi-task, think critically, and retain focus.

Ability to interpret manuals, drawings, technical orders, blueprints, electrical wiring diagrams, fluid flow charts, and work guides as needed.

Ability to read, understand, and follow the technical specifications of the OEM manuals, APS Quality Manual, Repair Station Manual, and follow FAA regulations.

Must possess detailed knowledge of the internal mechanisms, processes, and policies of Aircraft Propeller LLC.

Ability to effectively communicate with production personnel, coworkers, and senior management.

Accomplish organizational mission by completing related duties as needed.

Working and Physical Conditions

Exposure to loud noises, solvents, grease, fuel, dirt, gases, and moving machinery parts. Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.

Performance Expectations

Ensure quality assurance plans are effectively communicated and implemented in accordance with OEM specifications and FAA regulations.

Analyze system failures and immediately implement system corrections and improvements.

Document and communicate Quality Control plans, including both external and internal data.

Maintain and improve product quality by completing and assisting in the completion of product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits.

Develop and incorporate strategic plans by updating production processes and training programs.

Ensure that all departmental team members strictly adhere to all safely and security procedures and regulations and promptly report any observed violations in accordance with established guidelines.

Demonstrate positive support. Work with fellow employees, superiors, and peers to establish and maintain the reputation of Aircraft Propeller Service, LLC, as a quality organization.

Attend and complete any training or certification required.

Additional Requirements for quality Engineer:

Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical or industrial Engineering.

Minimum 5 years of work experience in Automotive or Aerospace

Some Knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100, preferred

Internal Quality Auditor, with proof of course completion.

Experience with quality procedure, standards, customer requirements.

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers

Ability to work under deadlines.

Having US citizenship is necssary to handle EAR/ITAR processes.

Pay: $100,000.00 – $109,000.00 per year
