Shorterm Group is currently looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join an established engineering company based in South Oxfordshire.
Key
Skills:
– A minimum of five years’ recent experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar quality-related role
– Ability to train employees in quality-related subjects
– Strong ability to interpret complex mechanical engineering drawings and determine appropriate measuring techniques
– Good knowledge of CMM programming (PC-DMIS ideally)
Responsibilities:
– Liaising with customers and suppliers regarding quality-related issues
– Training operators in all aspects of inspection techniques and equipment
– Recommending and implementing improvements to inspection and quality processes and equipment where appropriate
– Producing routine final inspection trend analysis and reports
– Managing non-conformances and customer complaints using 8D and 5 Whys methodologies
Job Details:
– Permanent position
– Standard day shift hours
– Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum
