Quality Engineer
Shift: 8am – 5pm Mon – Fri
06+ Months Contract Possibility or Extension / Conversion
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Quality Engineer to join our team and ensure the integrity of products received and shipped out, while providing top-tier services to our clients. This role is essential to support business and customer needs, comply with industry regulations, and maintain OpCo standards. The Quality Engineer will focus on supplier selection and auditing, material qualification, material inspection and testing, performance monitoring, and supplier development.
You may also be responsible for managing non-conformances in line with company procedures, performing quality assurance tests, investigating and resolving quality discrepancies, and ensuring that all products meet the required specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate customer quality complaint resolution, conducting root cause investigations with the manufacturing plant.
Review Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) from the manufacturing plant, ensuring robustness and customer acceptance.
Review 8D reports from manufacturing, customizing customer versions (including local language adjustments when needed).
Work with manufacturing plants to implement Quality Management System (QMS) improvement requests from customers.
Collaborate with the manufacturing plants and Corporate EHS & Legal teams to provide regulatory compliance declarations, including EICC, RoHS, REACH, and EPA.
Develop, maintain, and audit quality management systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
Monitor, investigate, and report on customer complaints to continuously improve quality assurance processes.
Conduct audits, inspections, tests, and defect analysis to ensure consistent quality in both suppliers and production processes.
Provide documentation from measurement analysis and assist departments in interpreting collected data.
Validate processes and ensure consistent quality through measurement analysis and statistical process control (SPC).
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Quality, Process, or Manufacturing Engineering role.
Strong knowledge of SPC and the ability to validate control charts, interpret results, and make data-driven recommendations for process improvement.
Expertise in using statistical tools (e.g., SPC, MSA, Pareto, ANOVA) and quality tools (e.g., FMEA, Cause and Effect Diagram, 8D).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel) and statistical software such as Minitab.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead teams to resolve complex quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
