Job Description:
Cimarron is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at either the Redstone Arsenal in the Huntsville, AL area or Schriever Space Force Base in the Colorado Springs area.
Key Duties:
Participate in investigations to identify and eliminate root causes of quality issues and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.
Analyze data using statistical tools such as Six Sigma, SPC, and DOE to support acceptance decisions, identify trends, and improve process capability.
Compile and analyze quality system metrics to ensure key performance indicators are tracked, measured, and addressed.
Drive process improvements by eliminating variation and nonconformities through innovative solutions.
Develop and maintain quality documentation, including quality plans, procedures, and work instructions.
Conduct benchmarking and advanced analyses to ensure process capability meets required specifications.
Apply risk management tools such as FMECA and Fault Tree Analysis in alignment with documented procedures.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver’s license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
5 or more years of experience in a quality-related position.
Experience in a quality engineering role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to assess and resolve complex issues.
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.
Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Practical experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100D quality management systems.
Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited Engineering or Engineering Technology program (or related field).
