About The Role
As a Quality Engineer at Mirka GmbH, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the quality management system at our Uetersen production site. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all products and processes meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with ISO 9001 standards. You will work closely with various departments and quality stakeholders across the company to identify areas for improvement, coordinate audits, and implement quality initiatives that support the company's strategic goals. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned quality professional to contribute to a growing organization dedicated to excellence and innovation in manufacturing. You will be instrumental in fostering a quality-driven culture, supporting continuous improvement projects, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 50001.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant university degree in Verfahrenstechnik, Maschinenbau, Elektrotechnik, or a related field. A minimum of five years of professional experience in quality management within manufacturing environments is required. Proven expertise in managing quality projects, especially with suppliers, is essential. Certification as a Quality Management Representative (QMB) is highly desirable. The candidate should demonstrate strong analytical skills, decision-making capabilities, and a meticulous, structured approach to work. Excellent communication skills in both German and English, proficiency in MS Office, and the ability to work cross-functionally are crucial. Additionally, experience with ISO standards and a proactive attitude towards driving quality improvements will set candidates apart.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the development and continuous improvement of the quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001 at the Uetersen site, working closely with the group’s system responsible.
- Analyze quality KPIs and processes in collaboration with different departments, identify opportunities for enhancement, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Coordinate with the customer service team to support product approvals and handle customer complaints professionally, ensuring effective resolution and follow-up.
- Plan, organize, and execute internal audits independently; support external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and standards requirements.
- Lead projects aimed at ongoing quality enhancement and promote a culture of quality within the organization through active engagement and leadership.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize process documentation aligned with ISO 9001 standards, and assist with compliance efforts related to ISO 14001 and ISO 50001.
- Serve as a central point for cross-site quality topics, facilitating communication and cooperation within the company’s group to ensure consistent quality standards.
