Job Summary:
The Quality Area Lead is responsible for providing support to the Quality Manager in ensuring all manufactured product meets or exceeds the expectations of both Customers and the Company in meeting specifications, compliance with regulations and standards, and conducting thorough and detail audits of processes, product and materials. The Quality Area Lead will act as a back-up for the Quality Manager, providing guidance and support to the QA technicians, Production, and the Warehouse when needed.
Job Duties:Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Confirms daily conformance.
Verify a complete CoA is has been generated for every process order batch.
Update incomplete or blank CoAs.
Submit request for missing CoAs.
Investigate out of spec attributes.
Creates holds as needed.
Revises CoAs as needed.
Reviews the daily metal detector conformance.
Ensure holds have been created for MD failures.
Notify RA of incorrect entry codes.
PCQI Verification
Verify all QA metal detector checks have been entered correctly and on time.
Verify all finished product temperature checks are within specified limits.
Investigate checks completed outside the required time frequency to determine if the gap is due to down time.
Verify and PCQI sanitation line inspection
Verify and PCQI Sanitation Titration records
Monitor ATP trending and ensure data is accurate
Verify and PCQI QA Code date labelling
Verify and PCQI Water activity data
Verify and document Raw material COA are received
PCQI raw material COA
Verify and PCQI Measuring equipment verification and keep up with record changes
Keep line inspection forms updated and make required changes
Monitor calibration system and keep records updated
Save and link Risk Assessment record to the Foreign Material Tracking sheet
Develops, reviews and monitors Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to maintain updates, accuracy and compliance with standards.
SAP Super User.
Support Document Control for the facility.
Support the Customer Complaint Investigation process.
Back-Up HACCP Coordinator
Other duties and responsibilities as requested.
Required Competencies & Knowledge:Knowledge of:
Must be knowledgeable regarding HACCP requirements
Must understand BRC requirements
Must be knowledgeable of SAP
PCQI training
Must understand the 7 steps of dry and wet sanitation
Good understanding of Good manufacturing practices (GMPs)
Skills in:

Work Environment:
Be able to adjust to different environments
Production environment exposure, which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, forklifts, and fluctuations in temperature.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma
PCQI training
OSHA training
HACCP training
Minimum one year experience in quality
SAP training

Starting Pay: Quality Area Leader I $26.80/hr. We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees including health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the 90th day of employment.
